Advance Archtop Guitar

This instrument is unique in the respect that the carbon graphite reinforced tone-bars do not touch the top. Two violin type “sound post nodules” are designed to move freely on the tone bars which enable the player to “tune” the top to their particular tastes. This instrument narrows the gap between archtop and flat-top and can be of use in any musical setting. It provides excellent tonal balance and plenty of “meat” in the upper register. 17″ body width. Spruce top with curly maple sides, back and neck. 25 1/2″ scale. Pickup options available.

D’Aquisto Archtop Guitar

“Soloist” built as an homage to the late, great Jimmy D’Aquisto. His designs effectively narrowed the gap between the traditional archtop and flattop designs. These guitars have a very singing mid-range and treble closer to a flattop due in part to the unique high and narrow tone bars that were favored by Mr. D’Aquisto. Coupled with the unique woofer and tweeter sound holes, this makes for a refreshing departure from the designs of the past. I am proud to offer this type of archtop as a new addition to my existing lineup.

A variation of the popular full-hollow body Bill West 906 model. A modern interpretation based on vintage archtop aesthetics. Built especially to be resonant and responsive acoustically while discouraging feedback.

Roger consulted me on every step of the process. He has a comprehensive knowledge of the history of American guitar-building, yet seems really excited about trying new designs.

The newest addition to my currently available, contemporary archtop models. Developed with noted Albuquerque, NM jazz guitarist Bill West. This guitar is designed with the working guitarist in mind. Petite and ideally suited for a relaxed fit. Specially voiced and braced to discourage feedback, yet retain the vibe, feel and response of a much larger guitar. Ideally suited for all venues where sustain and gain before feedback is required.

Most of your other reviews were much better written, more eloquent, and said exactly, and in the same words I like to use, the very points I wanted to make.
